This Resolution seeks to create and fund an expedition to Suceavalgid to conduct research about the continent. This resolution may be up for discussion for a maximum of 7 days. If it does not receive at least 2 endorsements before then, the proposal will be dropped.
Dr. Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoyo de la Rosario Ramirez approaches the General Assembly of DSAC.
"My name is Dr. Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoyo de la Rosario Ramirez. I am a cryptozoologist who has been traveling around the world for years, seeking to find out the mysteries of our world. Last week, another mystery has arisen: the mystery of our southern pole. An earthquake caused a tsunami that brought devastation to the native peoples of Lexumburg, an earthquake we had no idea could happen. For centuries we have been too afraid to approach Suceavalgid, too afraid to learn of her secrets, too afraid to know what lies beyond its staggering icy cliffs. That fear has come back to challenge us and now we can no longer ignore it.
My friends, we must embark. We must sail to these uncharted waters and know what they are. We must step onto the ice and see what lies beyond the cliff's edge. We know more about our moon that lies hundreds of thousands of kilometers away in the dark vacuum of space than we do about the lands of the south. We have a responsibility to embark to the edge of the world and not only stare into the void, but proudly voyage into it. We do not know what lies in the void, but my research vessel, the Void Treader, can get us through it.
In the name of knowledge, in the name of scientific development, in the name of conquering the dangers of ignorance, and in the name of discovery, support this resolution and allow us to show that, when we unite as one, there is no edge that is a danger to us"
