Organized by some overly fancy college drop outs with too much money to know what to do with after winning a ketchup eating contest, the DSA tournament of Fimbletintin is a regional tennis tournament that gives athletes rackets and measures their grunts while also hitting a ball over a net. Would you like to enter?
Sign-Ups and Hosting
- Sign-ups to be in the tournament will begin today (September 21st, 2018) and end in 7 days at 1900 UTC (September 28th, 2018). To sign-up, go on to the DSA homepage where there is a poll. There, you will sign up.
- Afterward, we will find a host country. To sign-up to host the country, directly DM Student Loan Debt and tell them. These will start today and end on September 28th, 2018. After, there will be a 4 day voting period (September 29th - October 2nd) to see who will host Fimbletintin.
Tournament Specifics
To enter, a country must submit
- A team name
- 2 competitors (any sex/gender/sapient entity. We're not gonna be realistic and we'll have all compete together as if they're equals. This is for fun after all)
Competitors can have a ranking between 1 (amateur athlete) and 6 (professional athlete). All competitors will start at 3 (average). If you want to get it up, do some role play involving all this. Some role play can get you up to 4 for both competitors. A good amount of RP gets you up to 5 for both. A lot of RP gets one of your competitors to 5 and one to 6 (RP measurements will be left up to the event organizer, Student Loan Debt).
Send your team name and roster directly to Student Loan Debt. If you signed up, but don't provide your teams and roster by the time sign-ups are over, you won't be able to compete.
How Long Will It Last?
The Tournament will be on October 5th. How long will it last? That depends on how many nations compete. The tournament will be done in a round-robin manner, where every competitor competes against every competitor once. Whoever has the highest score in the end will win.
