"This amendment aimed to make the current Charter membership rules clearer, closing some loopholes in a few places."
Cl. I of Art. I, Sec. I is changed to:
Clause I. Membership shall be open to all nations that currently reside in the DSA and subscribe to the principles of the DSA. Nations who fall into the following WA categories shall be considered as espousing principles incompatible with those of the DSA: [...list of WA categories...]
A new Cl. IV of Art. III, Sec. I is inserted, pushing down the previous Cl. IV and later clauses:
Clause IV. Any nation of the Congress that has not been present in the DSA for a continuous period of seven days shall be removed from the Congress. However, any nation that has informed the Congress of an absence from the DSA lasting longer than seven days shall be exempt from expulsion.
A new Cl. III of Art. I, Sec. I is inserted, pushing down the previous Cl. III and IV:
