Today I accepted my nomination for my third election for the position of MoDA. This thread is meant to provide you with an overview of what I did so far and where I want to go from here on.
Past achievements
Over the past year, I have served the DSA in different cabinet positions. Starting with being the Minister of Justice, I had to make a major decision in the Impeachment of Ivory Rhodes. As a result, I adviced the cabinet to reform the position of MoJ, resulting in its current state. During my tenure as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, I opened embassies with The Revolutionary Communist Alliance as well as Soviet Democracy, even though the latter only lasted for a few months. I also re-established communications with The Communist Bloc, but couldn't act on it anymore due to my service as MoFA ending shortly after. However, I currently serve in the position as ambassador to them.
As Minister of Domestic Affairs, the position I currently hold, I helped re-establishing our regional newspaper, Solidarity, as well as writing for the newspaper. In this capacity, I also revived the regional Featured 5, where I select 5 lesser-known member states each edition to heighten visibility of these nations. Supervising contests also falls under my responsibilities.
What I want to do in the future
Since the number of Solidarity issues grows fast, I feel that we should archive them in the forum for better access as well as easier reference. I'm currently looking into how to do that best, so that I can get to work on it first thing next cabinet. Furthermore, I want to re-establish the habit of posting regional happenings on the RMB so that everyone can see what's going on in the region. Also, I plan to both continue conducting the flag contests, but also some more varied contests in the future. Plus, I see it as part of my job to offer impartial help to any resident who needs it, except if it is a matter for the Court.
Therefore, my campaign goals are:
- continue work on and improvement of Solidarity, our national newspaper
- bring Solidarity to the forum for easier archiving and access to older editions (work already in progress)
- bring back the 'daily spam', in which the MoDA posted the most important regional happenings to the RMB to keep less active and non-Discord members up to date
- conduct more and more varied contests
- offering help in matters not subject to the Supreme Court of the DSA
