Feeling the Rumblies
Good day, I'm Chip Chauncy. We're coming on the air to update you on a major earthquake that has rocked western SLD in the Krekriakas Highlands, a 6.7 magnitude quake that has caused some buildings to collapse in and around Talenus. The quake itself centered about 75 miles west of Talenus. There are active searches going on right now for those have been trapped. There is a rising death toll of over 4 reported dead but that toll is expected to climb. A state of emergency is underway in SLD as King Caduk there announced that this disaster is still unfolding. We saw several buildings that have collapsed, we've seen plumes of smoke in the air, and a death toll that will no doubt rise we know thousands of people have poured out and flooded the streets here as fear spreads across this region.

I Can See Your Crack
Good day, I'm Chip Chauncy. In the following day after the earthquake that hit SLD, it is reported that the official death toll has reached 9. Across the country, vigils are being held in cities around SLD for the victims of the earthquake. Reconstruction has already begun in Talenus and is expected to take months to complete, especially with tunnels and train tracks that have been damaged impeding transportation.
Geologists and seismologist have begun to investigate the earthquake and noticed something quite peculiar: we as a region have no idea where our fault lines are. James Caduk has sponsored the efforts of these scientists to begin investigating the fault line that was found in the Krekriakas and to begin the mapping of and categorizing of these lines in an effort to better understand our Earth and learn better ways to prevent against future earthquakes.

The Fault In Our Stones Map Update
Good Evening DSA, I'm Chris Hansen. Due to the combined efforts of Debtian and East Dominica Islandian scientists, geologists, seismologists, and cartographers, a map has been created of the fault lines and tectonic plates of the Democratic Socialist Assembly. Their work has shown that the earthquake was caused by SLD being located on a convergent fault line, one that is responsible for the creation of the greater Communard Mountain Range. And, due to the ancient-established and legal rules of "Finders-Keepers", these scientists have taken the liberty of naming the plates as well. You can find these two maps on the DSA Maps Webpage.
