Hey friends, just curious what sort of games you all might play or watch? Board games, tabletop RPGs, card games, video games, sports, bar games, any of the above? What's your niche or hobby? For me, I play a lot of the Paradox grand strategy or simulation games. Europa Universalis 3+4, Hearts of Iron 4, Crusader Kings 2, Victoria 2, Stellaris and Cities Skylines all included. Beyond this, I like to keep to these genres a lot with other games such as the Total War series, Civilization, SimCity (I even like and have put over 100 hours into the "new" one), and any simulations as well. Stardew Valley's a pretty frequent visit for me and gives a nice casual touch, same goes for American/Euro Truck Simulator and The Sims. When I'm feeling more adventurous, I'll pilot towards RPGs like Guild Wars 2, Path of Exile or Divinity: Original Sin 2. I can oft be competative or just wanna play something faster place and will hop towards FPSs, TRSs and MOBAs. League of Legends is my go to here, with the Call of Duty franchise and Killing Floor 2 being other frequent plays. I play a lot of PC games, what can I say. Looking away from the PC, I don't actually own any modern console as of right now (I wanna get that switch eventually...) but do occasionally power up my 360 and hop back on NCAA Football 14. Memories. Shame there's not a newer one to play, I'd be all over that. Looking towards the tabletop side of things, I'm pretty indebted to Wizards of the Coast. I have more Magic the Gathering decks than you need in a lifetime, playing plenty of modern, standard and elder dragon highlander. Standard's my bread and butter ever since Arena's dropped, but on the tabletop it's EDH. I love me some ridiculous board states. On top of that, I play a lot of Dungeons and Dragons and DM for a bunch of my friends from back in high school. It's a really fun thing and we're currently playing the Waterdeep campaign for anyone curious. Moving towards board games, I've got a decent collection, with my most frequent plays being Pandemic, Dead of Winter and Azul. They're all just a lot of fun. Different mediums of play really help me feel balanced when it comes to games and I like to game a lot! If I'm feeling a little more lazy, I'll watch a lot of Dungeons and Dragons stories on Youtube, or watch Magic, League or whatever other competative or interesting games are streaming on Twitch. When the seasons are around, I'll hop in to watch some soccer/football, American football, baseball, hockey and basketball often. I just enjoy games and competition. It gives a lever of excitement that most things don't for me. It's a lot of fun.
So what about you guys? What do you play? What do you watch? Anything you're interested in playing or watching that you don't know how to get into? Anything you've been hoping to try? I'm super interested to see what you guys do.
