The NationStates player who controls Slotheria was banned from the regional discord server on the 28th of march for receiving their 3rd strike for rude, inconsiderate and innapropriate behaviour. They received their 2nd strike after continuing a tense and stressfull argument after the mods had asked them to discontinue their argument as it was in that moment harmful for the region. Their 3rd strike was for insulting another discord user in a public channel. While it is good to note that both of the users who Slotheria had these interactions with have been banned from the discord and/or region for more serious offences and Slotheria's frustration with these users during the moments that led up their strikes may thus be justified, the way they went about solving their problems was more destructive than it was constructive, potentially bringing harm or stress to the discord server, as thus their strikes are in my opinion justified as well.
Even though it is customary for the Admin to reccomend a user who has banned from the discord server be removed from the region as well this did not happen with Slotheria, neither did any other member of congress recommend Slotheria be removed from the region. That Slotheria is still part of the DSA even though their discord ban is thus out of goodwill. I write this reccomendation because I personally believe that Slotheria's continued behaviour on the forum and a recent RMB post has shown their behaviour has not changed since their discord ban and thus this goodwill has run out.
The RMB post in question is a response to a new requirement of the Director of Cartography which states that nations must participate in RP to remain on the map. Their response referenced them getting banned from the discord server which happened 3 months prior, the RMB post could be read as disrespectful of DoC Student Loan Debt, and Kathina Dakani and Xingal who are both moderators on the discord server. In a later RMB post they exclaimed that their goal was to make 'tankies', authoritarian and totalitarian leftists, feel as unwelcome as possible in the DSA. While totalitarianism isn't welcome in the Democratic Socialist Assembly, ensuring that this is done properly in a way which does not harm the DSA is the job of the Congress and those who they have entrusted to execute the rules against totalitarianism, such as the discord mods, the MoJ and High Judge. The fact that Slotheria is taking it in their own hands to make people who they personally believe to go against the principles of the DSA feel unwelcome is concerning to me, as they are effectively acting as judge, jury and executioner here without any proper procedure, thus possibly bringing harm to the region.
While I fully believe that Slotheria has nothing but the best intentions, their continued behaviour patterns even after being given many chances have not changed, and thus I believe it is responsible to remove them from the region.
