Long ago, when I was firstly appointed as MoJ, I was asked by the then president, Dekks, to investigate a claim that had to do with some patterns of clique behavior with regards to certain MoCs of our region that mainly reside in NSLeft regions (which we were at the time) and had dual citizenship (mainly residing at SLU). These were patterns that I personally noticed as well.
I thought myself that the best way to gather information, was to make a separate discord account, and moving one of my puppets to SLU, to gain access to their 'residents-only' channels, where I was sure that they were talking about DSA constantly and maliciously as a group. I took and still take full responsibility for this action, it was my proposal after all, and I defend that act of infiltration - the clique uses that technique against us either way.
As I expected, I found more than 60 pages of references to DSA coming from the NationStates Players who own or control Courelli, Iae/Ramelia, Goncar, NAR/Hom Bon (all of which are MoC), former MoC Cuscatlan, the former president of DSA, Cephesylon, and other native SLU member nations.
Most of those references demonstrate a pattern of hypocrisy and pharisaism, to the extent of violating the Terms of Residency and the clause of Extraordinary Misconduct extensively (through bad-faith acting and derogatory speech). They mock most of the active people of DSA (including administrative officials) in many ways with various epithets, and speak with derogatoriness and disdain for our region itself.
I have informed the former president Dekks about the process of this investigation, as well as the mod teams of our region. I did this in order to seek an advice upon matters of legality when it comes to violations occurred in other servers and in reference to the people of our very own server, as the offenders are present in both servers and act with a double-face. I also contacted with our admin emeritus whose opinion matters a lot to me, seeking for his POV towards this legal issue. Lastly, I have informed our current President, Lauren, about the matter, asking her insights about that as well.
My investigation is over now and the case has been presented to the region's wider mod team (which includes all of the Discord Mods, the Minister of Justice, and the Director of Regional Security). We have arrived to a unanimous consensus in favor of the recommendation of permanent removal of these NationStates Players from the DSA in all capacities. The Minister of Justice presents this case to the High Judge with the recommendation of the permanent removal of these NationStates Players on grounds of Extraordinary Misconduct, Bad Faith Participation, and Abusive Behaviors.
