This is the official voting thread for the Foreign Relations Clarification Act.
There are two variants of the bill on the ballot. These two variants are identical with the exception that one calls for Congressional embassy duties take 1/2 YAY votes(referenced as "YAY 1/2" in the poll), while the other require 2/3 YAY votes(referenced as "YAY 2/3"). Votes against either variant of the resolution will be referred to as "NAY" and as normal, "ABSTAIN" will be used for an abstention. This vote will be ran identically to a 3-way election vote with exception to the length of the voting period - that is to say that this will be a ranked choice voting election.
The original bill may be viewed here while the variant changes may be viewed here.

I would advice you to vote for the 1/2 simple majority option in this bill. This makes the region and congress more flexible in deciding our foreign relations, getting into new relations is something that is dealt with very carefully even now and will be so by congress, however in the case that relations sour 65% of congress being in favour of leaving meaning that we keep foreign relations only means that that relation will neither have popular support to be rebuild nor be able to be cut so that every region can be in peace seperately.

I will likewise offer my advice, and that is to vote in favor of the 2/3 supermajority. It will give Congress the power to modify, accept and break alliances, treaties and embassies. However, such a thing is a big deal and it is important that we be on the same page. I urge you to vote for the 2/3 to ensure that we move forward together as a community.
