RE #9: The Misty Disappearance of The UM

The DSA has lost all communications with the island nation of The Utopian Movement. A relatively quiet nation in the Opalanine Ocean to the south of Debsia East, the UM has host major ports for sailors and flights cross the Opalanine Ocean. However, now the island has seem to disappear. A thick mist has seem to have swallowed the island which, based on our satellite imagery, seems to extend well beyond the island's borders. There has also been a host of trading ships that have ventured into the mist and not come out, with some assuming they possibly collided into rocks and sunk. We sent aircraft into the mist to investigate this. Mysteriously, we lost contact with the aircraft once they were beyond sight in the mist. The Regional Environment Organization as well as the Department of Trade and Commerce have called for all peoples and vehicles heading for the island to cease and desist until they can learn what is occurring.

A ship has sailed out of the Utopian Fog. It is a ocean barge, of which had no people on it. The ship was covered in vines and tree roots, overgrown in plants. The condition of the ship outside of the plants is fully intact, with engines still running. This ship has baffled authorities, who are even more puzzled by the mist and what is occuring in the UM.
The DSAC Peacekeepers have assembled a group of 5 soldiers to venture into the Utopian Fog. This expedition will consist of Harold Hillman, Jennifer Gubment, Suzanne Collins, Christopher Rubert, and Charles Reginald. These soldiers will attempt to learn about what is occurring in the UM.

The Utopian Fog, after 5 days of consuming the island that hosts The UM, has cleared. DSAC Peacekeepers approached the island once it was cleared. No persons were found on the island. Neither Utopian nor any of the people sent into the fog. Something else peculiar is that there are no signs that humanity was ever here. There are no buildings, no infrastructure, no vehicles, and no signs of cultivation. It is as if the entire nation Ceased To Exist inside the fog. Millions of people, an entire civilization, has disappeared from the surface of the DSA.
