The existence of alien life is something that can greatly affect the worldbuilding of our entire region. It's one thing to have weird life that evolved on the planet, but to throw in weird life from beyond? That's a lot. As such, when a player seeks to incorporate alien life into their role play, we let it become a community vote as the existence of alien life affects all. Below is my proposal of my alien species in it's details and how it may affect the community, if at all. The community will be allowed to vote on the matter of whether or not they are fine having this be of alien origin. Voting will last for 4 days.
That is the story. Amox does not have to be alien as I could make this indigenous life that evolved in the Isles, but I do like the idea of this being a form of alien life and it being alien life that doesn’t even have intelligence. Whether or not I can do that plot line, however, is up to you all.
In the Debtian Isles is a fungal-like substance called Amox. It radiates anomalistic energies and causes things to be weird. Imagine regular radiation, but instead of just causing cancer it cause stuff like your eyelids turning to keratin or your house being somehow 7 square inches larger inside than the outside could mathematically prove. It spreads, it infects, etc.
This substance arrived here in a meteorite and landed in the Isles well before humans first sailed to the Isles. It is limited, however, in range. In how it behaves, it is like amox is one large singular creature (no intelligence, mind you) and, the further away amox travels from the meteorite, the less likely it can survive. So, it’s literally confined to the Isles cause it’d wither away beyond the Isles and it’s waters. It can survive outside the Isles for longer if it has a human host (every ethnic Debtian included since amox is now embedded in Debtian DNA), but very much weaker, only hereditarily infectious, and tends to filter out of the bloodline within 4 generations. Unless you physically move the meteorite and the large amount of land the mother organism occupies, it cannot spread outside the Isles.
