Interleft is a fairly new interregional alliance with the following description.
This is an on-going project to create a left-wing interregional alliance with a focus on creating a forum for dialogue in the pan-leftist spectrum, emphasizing cultural cooperation, diplomacy and collective military defence.
Myself and Philosophical Psychologists have been in talks with the leaders of the alliance who are all very supportive of us wanting to join the group. However, I knew this would be a sensitive topic for the DSA, especially for those around prior to summer of 2020 when we had our massive blowout with another interregional leftist alliance, that being NSLeft. Understandable that people would then be skeptical of this group, as I was. However, in my investigations of the group and through the talks JJ and I had with the group, we found the group has the following qualities
(1) Interleft is not NEARLY as focused on ideology and debate as NSLeft is. NSLeft RMBs are always flooded with heated leftist debate while Interleft is hardly a place of debate. Most members are not neary as interested in debate as NSLeft and, when debate does occur, it is very prioritized that they do not get out of hand. In addition, you're not going to be finding anyone coming into the DSA server demanding someone debate them on something like the definition of genocide. (2) Not only does Interleft not expect it's members to get any kind of preferential treatment in our space, they even have precedent of a situation like ours with Samogkir doing blatant trolling in an allied region and this person promptly being banned from the server with zero interregional conflict (so no SLU situation is going to happen with Interleft) (3) The regions in the group are very open to discussion and are very community focused. If someone is being a dick (like talking trash behind the DSA's back, for example), they deal with that and don't let it go on
In the alliance, we share embassies with two of the 5 regions in it, that being Wintercrest and TRTHNBB and, of the regions involved, a decent portion also have beef with NSLeft like we do and, as such, have no desire to emulate them.
Joining Interleft would bring about more interregionla cooperation and activity for the DSA, allow us to make new friends, expand us further into NationStates, and, from thorough investigation, I do believe this group will be far more peaceful and constructive than NSLeft ever was for us
